Il successo del fumetto fu tale che nel 1909 fu dato il suo nome alle scarpe con cinturino per bambini, quando poi qualche anno dopo, le sgargianti Flappers, le ragazze moderne ed anticonformiste degli anni 20 le scelsero come segno di distinzione, erano consapevoli di scegliere uno stile che evocava la freschezza della giovinezza, qualsiasi accenno alla donna matrona era bandito, inoltre il tacco si era notevolmente allungato e affusolato, le Flappers le usavano per ballare leggere e spensierate il Charleston, era evidente che la piccola Mary Jane era cresciuta.
Il modello che di Mary Jane assolutamente fantastico di questa stagione è questo di Dolce & Gabbana, cosa dire, classicità e artisticità si sposano divinamente, è una classicissima Mary Jane ma quel tacco in velluto broccato con fiori di cristallo, UAO al cubo è bellissimo...in più è anche un tacco comodo 105 mm solido e quadrato...come si fa a dire di no?

Do you like Mary Jane shoes? I think they are so sweety and cute also because their origin come from the shoe rack of little girls, you have to know that the name Mary Jane was taken from a character of an american comic, called Buster Brown the protagonist had a little sister called Mary Jane who wore this kind of shoes, so when the comic got success the name Mary Jane was associated with this model of shoes.
During the 20's also the famous Flappers choose this model for emphasize their distace from the traditional role of women...the sweety little girl was grew up.
The Mary Jane of this fall season for me are this lovely model of Dolce& Gabbana, i think they simple classic line of the traditional model, but the FABULOUS brocade velvet heel whit crystal flowers give a touch of creativeness...what to do you think? do you like this model? there are two color version, burgundy and black velvet, i totaly prefer the burgundy version, and what is your favourite version?
